Biography
Imad Bazzi is a photographer, Blogger and Award winning cyber-activist with focus on Human Rights, democracy, and rule of law. He is also an advocacy expert and lecturer. In 2011, Bazzi was recognized by Foreign policy magazine as one of the most influential internet figures in the Middle East.
Previously, Imad worked as a consultant for several international organizations including Greenpeace, Institute for War & Peace Reporting, UNDP, ICT4Peace, and Sustainable Democracy Centre. His cyber-activism also introduced him to mainstream media where he worked for Aljadeed Televison, Aljadeed Radio, and Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International.
Bazzi was nominated twice for the Reporters without Boarders award for his role in advocating human rights on social media platforms. In early 2015, Imad published his first book “Behind the Walls of Beirut” which was labelled among the bestselling books at Beirut International Book Fair. Bazzi is also a founding member of “You Stink” Movement aiming to fight corruption in Lebanon.
