Her Excellency Suhair Al-Ali

Suhair Al-Ali served as a Senator until November 2011, and prior to that as Jordan’s Minister for Cabinet Affairs in 2010 and as Minister of Planning and International Cooperation in three successive cabinets spanning 5 years from 2005.

Prior to her ministerial appointments, Suhair Al-Ali held the position of CEO for Citigroup in Jordan from 1996 – 2005. Al-Ali also held the position of General Manager and Representative for Saudi American Bank in New York from 1992 – 1996. She holds a Master’s Degree in Development Economics, and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Foreign Service, both from Georgetown University.
Al-Ali currently serves as director on a number of for-profit and not-for profit boards in Jordan, UAE, and the US in the fields of finance and banking, healthcare, leadership, development, and the arts.

She has received a number of recognitions and awards from regional organizations and forums for her contribution as a leading woman in business and in the public sector.
