Biography

Hala is currently responsible for coordinating regional activities at the World Economic Forum.

In the past 2 years, she headed a public-private initiative for employment in the Arab World, working with tri-sector leaders to advance youth employment. Her experience also includes engaging and advising governments in the Middle East and Africa on governance, public sector reform and donor engagement as part of her work with the World Bank, the UN, and Harvard University. In her free time, she coaches women interested in getting into public office on political communication. Hala holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University and a Masters in International Development from American University, DC. She was a Global Leadership Fellow of the World Economic Forum.
