Beirut Institute Summit: Reconfiguring the Arab Region and its Global Space beyond Political Economy and Security Threats
Beirut Institute Summit is a collaborative initiative to proactively influence future policies of the Arab region. This two-day event will be held in Abu Dhabi on October 10 & 11 2015.
Beirut Institute will host political leaders, senior policy makers, prominent thinkers, major CEOs, and civil society leaders to reflect on different tracks of transformation in the Arab region and to put forward actionable policies and innovative solutions that will help reconfigure the region and its global space.
Summit Aims
- Inspire leaders with policies, solutions and ideas for enhanced decisions on how to reconfigure the Arab region and its global space
- Create a multi-disciplinary, multi-sector and intergenerational platform for collaboration on future policies
- Launch a smart discussion with international policy leaders on critical matters of transformation occurring in the region
- Announce Beirut Institute’s agenda for 2016

Summit Key Conversations
- High-Level Exclusive Policy Circles. The policy circles are uniquely designed to gauge the intellectual input of Arab and international leaders on transformations that the region is undergoing.
- Conversations with Policy Makers. High profile political, business and civil society leaders will discuss the Arab region’s global positioning, its relationship with regional and international powers, and the economics of re-positioning to identify innovative solutions for the future.
- Interactive Open Plenary Sessions to discuss issues dealing with the future of the Arab region such as: ‘Smart Cities in the Arab Region – Are They Exclusive or Inclusive?’, ‘Celebrating our Innovators – Listening Carefully to Their Dreams’, and ‘Arab Women Directors: Their Global Impact and Their Fans at Home, Literally’.
- Beirut Institute Summit Annual Gala Dinner – Honoring Exceptional Excellence to three exceptional personalities who have contributed to the Arab region and the world: His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al Faisal and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi.
- Beirut Institute Declaration to relay policy options and recommendations generated during the summit to decision makers in the region and beyond.
